Bio:
     Andy Prescott, a Lansdale, Pennsylvania native, currently works as an actor, pianist, singer, and piano bar entertainer, having performed throughout New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Recently he has spent time in the Los Angeles area, establishing representation for acting opportunities out West. His acting career is taking him to LA again, from Mid-July through Mid-November, after which he plans to return to the East Coast for a few months. His professional training includes a B.A. in Theater from Temple University, and he has studied acting, comedy, and music for years.
     Andy Prescott has a quirky and entertaining personality, which he brings to everything he touches. He has a face that never stops changing, and you are never quite sure what is going to come out of his mouth next. Prescott is a true entertainer, always interacting with, and involving, his audience ... and getting to know everyone by name.      Philadelphia, PA - Andy Prescott: About Face. Local actor and piano-bar-entertainer Andy Prescott brings his new play to the Philly Fringe Festival in September 2006. This one-man dramatic comedy with music about a lovable dreamer who thinks plastic surgery is the way to become a star, offers a behind-the-scenes look into the bent life of Andy, a squarish-looking piano bar player who wants to play the big room. "About Face" reveals Andy's humorous and often candid discoveries; about life, the Liberty Bell Inn, and the pursuit of the perfect face. Opening September 3rd, at Plays and Players Theater Cabaret Room, 1714 Delancey Street, Philadelphia, and running for eight performances in the Festival, including; Sun. 9/3 at 7PM, Mon. 9/4 at 2PM and 7PM, Sat. 9/9 at 6PM, Sun. 9/10 at 2PM, Mon. 9/11 at 8PM, Wed. 9/13 at 7PM, Sat. 9/16 at 6PM. 
     Special Promotions include: "Labor Day Matinee" at 2PM on Monday, September 4th, with a second show at 7PM. You have the day off, you've been to the beach, so why not relax, take a stroll downtown, and enjoy your day at the theater! "9/11 Benefit Performance" at 8PM on Monday, September 11th, a portion of ticket sales for this 9/11 performance will be donated to the Flight 93 Memorial Fund in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. "Wednesdays in Philly Night" at 7PM on Wednesday, September 13th, bring a date, have some drinks at our cash bar and enjoy the show. All couples will receive special gift from Andy Prescott. 
     The Cabaret Room is located upstairs, in the historic Plays and Players Theater, one of the oldest community theaters in continuous use in the United States. The room includes a full cash bar and seating begins 30 minutes before show time. Located just off Rittenhouse Square at 1714 Delancey Street, one of the most charming blocks in the city, between Spruce & Pine, and 17th & 18th, close to public transportation and four public parking lots. Due to the age of the building, the upstairs Cabaret Room is not handicap accessible, but it is air-conditioned! 
     Fresh from a featured "hairspray" role on Broadway, Julie Halston co-writes with Jeffrey Klitz, Barbara Suter and Andy Prescott. Music Direction by Dean Schneider. Original production directed by David Marquez. Prescott is a Temple University theater grad, who appears regularly in piano bars in the tri-state area. 
     Written in New York City, the play had it's premiere at Odette's Theater Room, in New Hope, where it has enjoyed an 11-week run. Most recently presented in June at Ristorante Valentina's in Philadelphia.
