Andy Prescott was in Los Angeles, California for the first weeks of
January 2007. He made it
a very
successful trip ... attending
the International
Modeling
and Talent Association
(IMTA) Convention
in L.A.,
where many
great industry connections
were made.
The
IMTA Convention
showcased talent from all over the world, and included competition in many theatrical categories. Andy Prescott earned high marks in many acting categories, but, most importantly, he was selected for "call-backs" with six agencies. Andy has received a management contract offer from one of those "call-backs", starting with the 2007 television pilot season (Feb-Mar-Apr 2007), reading parts for many TV shows that are in the planning stages for potential broadcast.
As a result, Andy requested
temporary
leave from
ALL of his East Coast piano bar
gigs for the three months, anticipating a May 2007 return.
Update 5/1/07 ... Andy returned to the Philly area, to entertain at Piano Bars throughout the area. Scheduled to be on the East Coast until June 21st, 2007 ... he extended until July 17th, 2007. Update 7/17/07 ... Andy's acting career has him living in Los Angeles. He is auditioning for television roles in existing shows, and for new TV commercials, while also developing his own television pilot. Meanwhile, he has entertained at a few LA area piano bars, and other venues, where he puts his talent as a live entertainer to use.  Andy Prescott

Andy was in the Philadelphia area again from 11/19/07 through 1/07/08
for a Seven Week East Coast Piano Bar Reunion Tour ... before returning
to LA on 1/07/08.
Andy scheduled a brief 10-day, Spring '08 East Coast Piano Bar Reunion Tour, starting on 5/30/08. He is returning to LA on 6/09/08. Extended one more week ... East Coast gigs scheduled through June 15th, 2008. Andy returned to LA on Wednesday, June 18th, and remained there until July 24th... when he was flown to the East Coast to entertain at a private party in New York. cutting-edge new venue. For piano bar aficionados, the set up is reminiscent of
one of our former favorites... the former Luigi's on Route 611 in Warrington. In
fact, Adel, the former Manager at that Luigi's location, is the force behind
Lime Light... his new restaurant and bar.
As you enter, you will see cozy dining booths and tables running back along the right wall. A long sleek bar runs down the left wall, ending just before a large, custom-built, piano-shaped counter is positioned in the miffle of the space... complete with a beautiful sounding keyboard inside. The restaurant walls are painted in shades of lime green, and spot lights flood the walls, creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxing dinner, and a grand time at the piano ™ OPEN MIC live entertainment is featured most nights of the week, and the current lineup includes our friend George Sinkler. played 5 nights a week at Luigi's for 10 or 15 years, was scheduled to do the
same at Limelight. They opened Friday (Nov 7th). He played Friday and
Saturday, and then promptly fell and broke his arm. Several of us will fill in
till he returns. Note that music always starts at 5:00 for Happy
Hour."
